It could be argued that Ronnie Fieg is the man responsible for making the ASICS Gel-Lyte III as big as it is in America. Back in 2007, Fieg kickstarted his relationship with ASICS whilst working at David Z. Over the past 13 years, the two have cooked up some of the most sought after GL3s in history. After revealing that Kith would be dropping three ASICS Gel-Lyte IIIs this year, the community got excited. Thankfully, we now have our first look at the “Yoshino Rose” colourway.
Inspired by the Yoshino cherry blossoms that bloom in Japan during spring, Fieg has used a delicate colour palette on this GL3. A simple white mesh base is contrasted by a light grey suede overlay on the mid-panel and heel. Soft pink has been used on the tiger stripes, complete in plush suede. One of the more subtle details is “FIEG” embroidered on the tongue in the ASICS typography. Sitting atop a white Gel midsole, the sneaker boasts a red, white and black sole. These are gonna be a serious pair to add to your collection.
