It’s been a whirlwind few years for Sean Wotherspoon. After winning the Nike Vote Forward competition in 2017, the Round Two owner has become one of the most influential people in the streetwear community. Although his work with Nike may have only extended to one shoe, the lasting legacy is clear to see. Of course, that hasn’t stopped Wotherspoon from working with other brands. After a very limited release in Japan last month, the Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS Gel-Lyte III collaboration is set to drop once more this month.
The corduroy clad ASICS Gel-Lyte III is a combination of Wotherspoon’s love of colour and unusual materials on a sneaker. Mis-matched multicolour panelling can be seen throughout, with this vibrant GL3 being arguably the brightest we’ve ever seen. Detachable tiger stripes come in multiple colours, giving the wearer the option to customise. Velcro patches bearing atmos and Sean Wotherspoon logos also come as standard, just in case you wanted to add more colour to this shoe.
It’s good news for sneakerheads. The Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS Gel-Lyte III is set to launch on August 20th for €165. Take a closer look at the images below and let us know if you’ll cop this Gel-Lyte III.
