When news that the “Black Metallic Gold” Air Jordan 1 High OG would be returning this year, sneakerheads were quick to pay attention. As one of the most recognisable colourways of the Jordan 1, the sneaker has rarely seen a return since its 2003 release date. Over the past few months, the hype surrounding this AJ1 has continued to grow, with footwear fans old and new waiting to get their pair. Thankfully, we now finally have a confirmed release date.
Taking reference from the 2003 Air Jordan 1 Mid that used the same colour scheme, this is already looking like one of the years best Jordan 1s. Black patent leather adorns the majority of this sneaker, creating a slick-looking silhouette. Gold accents on the Swoosh, ankle and Wings logo give this shoe a luxurious look, with a matching tongue tag adding a nice effect. An all-black sole unit comes complete with gold stitching to bring this well-balanced Jordan 1 to a close.
According to multiple sources, the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Black Metallic Gold” will be returning on Cyber Monday this year. For those of us who aren’t American, Cyber Monday follows on from Thanksgiving. This year, Cyber Monday will be on November 30th so make sure that you mark your calendars for this release. From what we know so far, you can expect the “Black Metallic Gold” to drop on SNKRS and at various Tier 0 retailers.
