Over the past few weeks, the hype about the LEGO x adidas ZX8000 collaboration has been slowly growing. We’ve seen everything from teaser videos to special edition packaging, giving us multiple sneak previews of the upcoming shoe. However, the one thing that we have been lacking is a concrete release date. Thankfully, that all looks to be changing. After several glimpses, we now have an official look at the LEGO adidas collaboration.
Releasing as part of the adidas A-ZX line, the LEGO collaboration stands for “LEGO play. As you can probably imagine, this collaboration is just as playful as LEGO itself. A number of bright colours all come together to create a perfectly constructed ZX8000. Everything from red to yellow and green to blue features on the LEGO x adidas ZX8000, adorning the suede, mesh and TPU. Of course, it is the small details that have really got sneakerheads excited.
Replacing the traditional lace dubrae is a small LEGO piece, a unique feature that really adds to this ZX sneaker. Even the lace eyelets and heel cage have been replaced with LEGO pieces, something that we absolutely love. The familiar adidas tongue tag has been removed, with a large “LEGO” logo taking pride of place. On the insole, bold co-branding can be seen, bringing this sneaker to a close.
If you like the look of the LEGO x adidas ZX8000, then good news. The sneaker is set to release on September 25th for €130. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these ZX8000s.
