Fortunately for sneakerheads all around the world, the Nike Air Max 90 is about to turn 30. Celebrating your 30th birthday is a big deal, even if you are a pair of shoes. Nike is making sure that the Air Max 90 gets the party it deserves and is bringing back the original Air Max III shape (90s were called Air Max IIIs until the 10th anniversary!) ahead of the big day. Kicking things off in spectacular style, the Swoosh is launching the original Infrared colourway but with a twist.
Whilst, of course, we can expect a return of the OG Air Max 90 later this year, Nike is launching the same colour scheme from the AM90 but with a slight difference. Instead of the traditional reddish-pink accents that we all know and love, Nike is dropping four OG 90s with different colours; Volt, Turquoise, Royal Blue and Hyper Grape.
The familiar combination of white mesh, grey suede and black leather creates the same classic vibe of the original Air Max 90. Nike is replacing the Infrared heel tab, Air Unit surround, eyestays and Air Max logo with these new colours, bringing the iconic silhouette into the future through a few subtle differences. In keeping with the OG vibe, Nike is also including the middle seam which goes across the Swoosh, something that has not been done since the shoe first dropped.
Sneakerheads can expect these to release later this week in full family sizing, meaning you can kit the whole family out in these remixed classics.
