Without further delay, take a closer look at some of the best sneaker predictions from KLEKT this month!
Air Jordan 1 Mid “To My First Coach” – May 7th
There is no denying the insane popularity of the Air Jordan 1 Mid this year. Dropping as part of the “To My First Coach” pack, this AJ1 Mid colourway is going to be very popular this month. Premium materials like suede and leather, as well as a summer-ready colourway, ensure that this is going to be a big one. Mids have remained one of the hottest selling silhouettes at KLEKT HQ and given the warm weather just around the corner, these are a perfect shoe to wear or sell.
Stingwater x Nike SB Dunk Low “Magic Mushroom” – May 8th
2020 was definitely the year of the Dunk, but it looks as though Nike is looking for repeat success in 2021. Stingwater’s “Magic Mushroom” is definitely one of the more adventurous collaborations we’ve seen so far this year, but it’s sure to be a success. The story, inspiration and unique design behind this SB Dunk ensure that it will sell well this month. If you’re looking for a pair of SBs to cop in May, then this is definitely one we’d suggest.
Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Lemon Drop” – May 15th
The Nike Dunk Low WMNS “Lemon Drop” has been hot on the cop list for many sneakerheads this year. We’ve seen countless images of the shoe over the last few months but yet to see a release date. As it stands, the pair is rumoured to drop on May 15th and you can guarantee it’ll be an instant sellout. The summer sneaker uses a combination of tumbled and smooth leather as the base with a lemon textured Swoosh across the midsection. Couple that with perfect colour blocking and what have you got? A very popular shoe.
Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shadow 2.0” – May 15th
Jordan Brand has been going hard this year, releasing a number of great new colourways as well as reissuing some fan favourites. One of those given a slight twist is the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Shadow 2.0” – a simple remix on an OG colourway. Opting for a suede and leather construction, the “Shadow 2.0” is going to be a big hit with the community when it drops later this month. A classic colourway, premium materials and all on an AJ1 – what’s not to like?
adidas Yeezy 500 High “Tactile Orange” and “Sumac” – May 17th
Kanye West and adidas Yeezy have been working hard behind the scenes this year. The good news is that a lot of new heat will be dropping over the next two months – two pairs of which are the adidas Yeezy 500 High “Tactile Orange” and “Sumac.” Now, these are definitely on the more adventurous side of the Yeezy 500 High colourways, but once fall comes around, these are going to be hot property. Set these aside for the cold weather to start and you’ll be laughing.
AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High “Deep Royal” – May 18th
When the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High dropped last year it was an instant sellout. It looks as though the collaborative sneaker is far from done, however, with a “Deep Royal” colourway earmarked for a May 18th release. Taking the familiar shape, the shoe boasts classic blue and white colour blocking to give this pair a collegiate look. Given the speed at which the last AMBUSH Dunks drop sold out, you can be sure these are going to be popular this month.
Yeezy QNTM “Flash Orange” – May 22nd
Kanye’s foray into the athletic footwear market has certainly made a big impact in the sneaker community. The next instalment of the Yeezy QNTM is the “Flash Orange”; one of the bolder colourways of the sneaker. Boasting an orange, black and beige camouflage pattern throughout the Primeknit upper, it’s certainly one of our bolder predictions this month. However, we’ve no doubt that Yeezy fans will be stocking these for the fall season so don’t miss out.
sacai x Nike Blazer Low “White Magma Orange” – May 26th
It seems that Chitose Abe and sacai can’t put a foot wrong this year. The release of the sacai x Nike Blazer Low later this month is another great example of the success of the collaboration. For the first time, we’ll see a low-cut version of the sacai Nike Blazer, making it a little easier to style than its predecessors. Thankfully, the familiar double-stacked detailing has remained the same, with the Swooshes, tongues, midsoles and laces all doubling up. All sacai x Nike collabs sell and this will be no different!
Yeezy Foam RNNR “Sand” and “Mineral Blue” – May 29th
Despite its meme-worthy origins, the Yeezy Foam RNNR has been one of the most popular shoes this year. The good news for Yeezy fans is that the “Sand” colourway will be making a return alongside the new “Mineral Blue” version in a full-family size run. Retailing at just €75, the Foam RNNR has a lot of potentials when it comes to flipping so set your alarms for these.

That concludes our top sneaker predictions for May. Given the fact there’s so much heat dropping this month, you can expect it to be a busy month of releases. As always, these dates are subject to change and drops may be pushed back. For now, let’s just hope these all drop.
