Having started in a dilapidated squat in Waterloo, London, Palace has gone on to become a global streetwear brand. Founded by Lev Tanju in 2009, Palace Skateboards is now one of the most hyped brands in fashion. Its army of fans covers everyone from hypebeasts to celebrities like Rihanna and Jay-Z, yet it still maintains its no f*cks given attitude throughout every season. Now, the independent London skate store has unveiled its teaser video for SS20.
Featuring longtime Palace skate team rider and friend of Virgil Abloh, Lucien Clarke, the video is strange, to say the least. Taking Palace’s quirky aesthetic to a new level, the video features Clarke fully dressed lying on a tanning bed. Fans will be quick to notice the script written across Clarke’s denim attire. However, as quick as it can be seen the lid begins to shut.
As the lid closes on Clarke, the brands famous Triferg logo can be spotted with a hand and peace sign. Given the hype surrounding Palace every season, we already know that SS20 will be solid.
