In the sneaker world, few shoes come close to the Air Jordan 4. Debuted by Michael Jordan in 1988, the shoe is now a part of sneaker mythology forever. Certain colourways have been reissued over the years. Breds, White Cements and Military Blues have seen their fair share of retros. However, one colourway has not. Released in 2006, the Black Cat 4s have become one of the most elusive 4s of all time. Now, after a 16-year hiatus, the colourway is finally returning.
When rumours began circulating last year that the Black Cat Jordan 4 was getting the retro treatment, the sneaker community was excited. The all-black sneaker is a monochromatic masterpiece. Featuring an all-black nubuck upper, black mesh and black midsole, the shoe is perfect for any occasion.
The use of graphite detailing on the lace accents and the tongue helps to break up the shoe, whilst a black midsole unit marries it all together. Familiar details such as the graphite Jumpman on the back have made a reappearance too. As Black Cat 4 fans will know, the shoe never featured Nike Air.
The shoe is releasing in full-family sizing making it one for the family. If you’re looking to get your hands on these, you won’t have to wait long. The Black Cats will release on Saturday 22nd.
