Whenever New Balance announces that it’s Tokyo Design Studio is reworking a classic silhouette, sneakerheads take note. Located in the capital city of Japan, New Balance’s creative hub has created some of the most coveted pairs of all time. Now the team has cooked up a luxury take on the R_C1330TF.
Many New Balance fans will know that the 1300 has a special place in the hearts of Japanese sneaker collectors. Only dropping once every five years, the silhouette is a firm favourite for many. The R_C1330TF brings the same classic detailing as the OG, however, it includes a chunky outsole and split ENCAP midsole. When the Tokyo Design Studio creatives designed this shoe, they took inspiration from a Japanese proverb: “not seeing is a flower”.
With that in mind, the New Balance R_C1330TF uses a well-balanced palette throughout. Clever twists such as the asymmetrical colour blocking allow this shoe to make a statement but in a subtle way. A wide variety of colours starts with an oatmeal base contrasted by varying soft shades of navy, teal, yellow and pink.
Retailing at £160/€195, the New Balance R_C1330TF drops Saturday, April 25th. Check out the images below and let us know if you’re feeling these.
