It can be hard turning a previously low top silhouette into a high top, yet somehow Kanye managed to do it. The adidas Yeezy 500 is one of the most popular models in the Yeezy range. When it was revealed that a high top version was in production, many were dubious as to how it would look. Since the “Slate” colourway dropped, sneakerheads around the world have been patiently waiting for more colourways to release. Well, now it looks as though the wait is over.
According to sources, the “Tyrian” adidas Yeezy 500 High will release next month. The sneaker utilises the same material as the “Slate”, however, it goes for a much bolder and almost autumnal colour scheme. A combination of black tumbled leather and rich brown suede adorns the upper, with splashes of purple throughout the neoprene. Familiar details like thick black rope laces and a custom lace dubrae help add to the allure. Furthermore, a black adiPrene midsole, meaning this Yeezy 500 is as comfortable as its high and low predecessors.
If you’re looking to cop these, mark your calendars for May 16th. With an estimated retail price of €220, this is perfect for those rainy summer days. Check out the mockup below and let us know if you’ll be picking these Yeezys up.
