Over the past two decades, Pharrell Williams has become a serious culture icon. The 47-year-old musician has become one of the most influential people on the planet. His early years spent donning BAPE and baggy denim, have certainly faded away. In 2015, the musician partnered with adidas to release 50 colours of the Superstar. Since then, the two have cooked up some of the most sought after sneakers on the planet. Now, Pharrell is revisiting the Superstar once more.
Unveiled as part of adidas’ “Change is a Team Sport” campaign earlier this year, the Pharrell Williams x adidas Superstar has popped up a few times since. Blurry on foot images have had to suffice, but that is all about to change. Now, we have official images of the upcoming sneaker, arriving in two unique colourways, complete with a fully Primknit upper.
The first Superstar uses a classic white base and is accented with green and yellow overlays on the sides. A juxtaposing black pair is complete with burgundy, purple and teal detailing. Both sneakers use a knitted shell toe and have the words “Human Race” stitched on the heel; in keeping with Pharrell and adidas’ previous work.
Whilst no exact release information has emerged just yet, a retail price of €140 has been set. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Pharrell Williams x adidas Superstars.
