As one of the most important sporting brands on the planet, Jordan Brand has always ensured that it looks after its female fans. Now, the sporting behemoth is set to launch a capsule collection aimed at providing its passionate female audience with more of what they want.
The latest Jordan Brand capsule collection is aimed at giving women more of a say in what the company puts out. As Andrea Perez, General Manager of Jordan Women’s stated: “Jordan Women’s grew triple digits last fiscal year and there is strong excitement from our consumers and key accounts for us to keep reaching new audiences through our Women’s footwear and apparel.
Jordan Brand has focussed on creating versatility throughout this entire collection. Michelle Walter, Design Director for Jordan Women’s Apparel stated that: “The capsule collection is a beautiful blend of streetwear utility with fashion influence and is underpinned by the authenticity of the brand’s heritage.”
This recurring theme can be found throughout the entire theme; functionality meets fashion. Jordan Brand has taken inspiration from Michael Jordan’s iconic Flight Suit, with His Airness’ Wings lines of the mid-80s taking pride of a place. A combination of neutral colours such as grey and brown are elevated through the use of bright greens to add a pop to the piece. Pieces such as a Utility Pant and Bomber Jacket carry on this same principle, helping to balance the oversized style with feminine details, such as a faux-fur hood.
With this women’s capsule collection already gaining a lot of interest from fashion and footwear fans around the world, you can expect this to be a tough cop once the collection drops on February 14th.
