There have been a number of surprises in the sneaker world this year, but an UNDERCOVER x sacai x Nike LDWaffle could be one of the biggest so far. After a year-long hiatus, Chitose Abe’s double-stacked Nike silhouette has seen a resurgence in popularity from a number of fashion labels. Whether it’s from fragment design or CLOT, it’s safe to say that the sacai LDWaffle is coming back stronger this year. Now, we have a closer look at the potential UNDERCOVER iteration.
Although there’s no concrete information on this release just yet, we have seen a sample that looks pretty promising. Taking the classic sacai x Nike design, UNDERCOVER has opted for a very eye-catching colour scheme. A black nylon base is a perfect canvas for grey suede leather overlays to work against, with bright yellow Swooshes featuring on either side. A yellow sockliner can also be seen, adding a nice contrast between the alternating black and white tongues. Sitting atop an all-white midsole with a yellow sole, these could be a great drop this year.
As for now, there’s no real concrete information on the UNDERCOVER x sacai x Nike LDWaffle. With only one sample pair being leaked, we’ll just have to sit tight and wait for more news. Check out the mock-up and sample below and let us know if you’ll cop these sacai LDWaffles.
