There is no denying just how successful sacai and Nike’s sneakers have been over the past few years. Since joining forces in 2015, the two have cooked up arguably one of the most creative designs in sneakers. Chitose Abe’s fusion of two Nike models in one has certainly been a talking point for the community and it doesn’t look as though it’s going away anytime soon. With the introduction of the VaporWaffle almost imminent, we now have detailed images of the “Game Royal/Sport Fuchsia.”
Taking the same award-winning formula as the sacai x Nike LDWaffle, this upcoming sacai sneaker mashes two Nike silhouettes together: the Pegasus and VaporFly. By fusing the two sneakers together, sacai has created a brand-new design entirely. Furthermore, the use of double detailing can be seen on the Swoosh, laces, tongues and midsole. Interestingly, the VaporWaffle uses a much thicker sole in comparison to the LDWaffle. The Forrest Gump Nike Cortez inspired colourway keeps things simple, bringing this futuristic sneaker to a close.
