In recent years, Nike has been pushing its ISPA line forward with full force. ISPA, which stands for Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt, is becoming a key part of Nike’s technological advancements. Last week, the Swoosh debuted the full range set to release in the coming weeks. The unique silhouettes caught the attention of many in the sneaker community, however, one shoe, in particular, has stood out more than the rest.
Dubbed the Nike ISPA Road Warrior, the sneaker is a perfect example of everything that the ISPA range looks to use. According to Nike, the silhouette takes cues from the marathon-breaking Air Zoom Alphafly Next% whilst combining the energy return of the Air Zoom BB NXT. Arguably the most unlikely sneakers to take inspiration from, the ISPA Road Warrior is certainly going to turn heads.
The futuristic-looking silhouette combines a unique lacing system and comes complete with a crazy midsole and sole unit. A wide sole unit extends throughout the shoe, being larger at some points and thinner at others. However, the split toe system is what has really caught the eye of sneakerheads. Similar to that used in Maison Margiela’s Tabby Boots, the split toe is a hark back to designs like the Nike Rift.
If you are looking to get your hands on these, you better have deep pockets. Nike is retailing the ISPA Road Warrior for a pricy €500. Check out the images below and let us know if you’ll cop these Nike ISPAs.
