The sneaker, which was originally released in 2004, is inspired by Dave Ortiz’ years in the New York meatpacking district. In fact, the streetwear boutique has more of a butcher’s shop aesthetic rather than that of a sneaker store. Called the “Bacon” for obvious reasons, the DQM x Nike Air Max 90 features various shades of red, pink, brown and white to look like a bacon strip. Premium leather and suede used throughout gives this sneaker a luxurious finish, a feature that made it such a hit back in ’04.
