Although the Sean Cliver x Nike SB Dunk Low may be a latecomer, it’s making a strong case for being one of our favourite SB Dunks this year. As a long time friend and designer with Nike, Cliver has created a number of high profile SBs. This year alone his Strangelove Skateboards collaboration became one of the hottest Dunks on record, launching on Valentines Day. However, his “Holiday Special” Nike SB Dunk Low is already looking like a must cop.
Wrapped in a subtle white tumbled leather and baby blue suede accents, the frosty approach to this Dunk is as icy as its execution. A crushed white velvet sock liner is another clever addition, however, it’s the metallic gold Swoosh and silver heel panel that create the eye-catching finish. Thick silver rope laces are contrasted by a baby blue tongue and match the upper perfectly. Gold thread makes up the stitching and is also used on the “Nike” placed on the heel tab. An icy sole unit uses specks of gold throughout for another holiday touch and is matched by with insoles featuring custom artwork by Cliver.
The good news is that the Sean Cliver x Nike SB Dunk Low “Holiday Season” is dropping soon in full family sizing. As for now, a tentative release date of December 18th has been set with a €110 price tag. We do know that these are most likely going to be limited so expect these to be a tough cop.
