Once in a while, Nike likes to crossover classic colourways onto unfamiliar silhouettes. We’ve already seen this with the Nik SB Dunk Low Pro ‘Shadow’ and the ‘DNA Pack.’ Well, it seems as though Nike and Jordan Brand are carrying on with the crossover theme with this upcoming Air Jordan 4. Fans of the Air Max 95 should recognise this colourway instantly, and for good reason.
Using Sergio Lozano’s iconic Air Max 95 design and colourway as a premise, Jordan Brand is applying the familiar ‘Neon’ colourway to the Air Jordan 4. Using the same colour scheme, as well as suede materials, this AJ4 brings together two silhouettes into one. A perfect balance of tonal greys can be found throughout the upper as well as mesh. Contrasting panels, which make use of the gradient effect, can be found throughout the sneaker.
A neon green eyelets, as well as a tongue tag border, encapsulate this crossover sneaker perfectly. The use of a white sock liner, white mesh guard and black mesh and a 3M reflective tab with “Nike Air” add to this sneaker’s allure. Familiar elements from the Neon AM95 are seen throughout this shoe. White rope laces, a black midsole and sole with neon footplates and a split grey tongue tag make their way to the shoe.
Though no exact dates have been set on this sneaker, you can expect it to release at some point this year.
