It’s been exciting to see just how powerful New Balance has become in 2020. Since starting the new decade, we’ve seen the Boston-based brand become one of the key sneaker brands this year. From standout collaborations to brand new silhouettes, New Balance has shown the competition how it’s done. As the year begins to wind down, it doesn’t look as though things are changing any time soon. We now have a first look at an upcoming collab between INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD on the New Balance 2002R.
INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD have teamed up to create arguably our favourite New Balance 2002R colourway this year. The respective Taiwanese sneaker boutique and Japanese label have come together on a well-balanced collaboration. Dark grey suede is accented with several lighter shades of grey on the mesh and leather to build a perfect looking sneaker. Green and brown accents can be seen dotted throughout the 2002R, with a clean white midsole cutting through.
In terms of branding, INVINCIBLE and N.HOOLYWOOD have kept things relatively simple. A “New Balance” logo can be seen on the toe box, whilst the two respective brands have put their logos on the laces. The military-inspired 2002R is far different from Salehe Bembury’s, showcasing a reserved nature to this collab. All we do know is that this is one good looking New Balance.
