There is no denying the influence that Sean Wotherspoon has had on the sneaker community in a relatively short space of time. Since winning the Nike Vote Forward campaign, Wotherspoon has been thrust into the limelight, working with more big brands. Collaborations with Guess Jeans, adidas and atmos have certainly helped grow his name in the streetwear industry. Now, after a long, long wait, the Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS Gel-Lyte III is finally dropping.
Confirmed by atmos last night, the upcoming collaborative Gel-Lyte III will drop on June 27th via the atmos store. The news has since shocked the sneaker community, with everybody currently working out their plan on how to get them. However, it is easy to understand why this is going to be such a big release.
Continuing Wotherspoon’s love of corduroy, the 29-year-old has worked with atmos to create arguably the most colourful ASICS Gel-Lyte III of all time. Featuring mismatched corduroy colours across two sneakers, it’s a bold idea, to say the least. The results are certainly eye-catching, with each colour being brighter than the last. Other unique details include the velcro tiger stripes and patches, giving the wearer the option to customise the sneaker how they want. Featuring subtle co-branding throughout, this sneaker is an instant cop.
If you’re looking to cop the Sean Wotherspoon x atmos x ASICS Gel-Lyte III then you don’t have long to wait. The sneaker will drop on June 27th and cost ¥17,500 (approximately €146). As for now, there is no news on a wider release, but we will keep you updated.
