Of all the high-profile collaborators to emerge in the last decade, few are as flavourful as Action Bronson. The New York rapper-actor-chef has expanded his multi-hyphenate status in the world of sneaker design with some of New Balance’s craziest colourways. From the 990v6 ‘Baklava’ to his debut 1890 colourways, here’s everything you need to know about Action Bronson’s sneaker collabs.
adidas Ultra Boost

When you think of Action Bronson and sneakers you would of course, immediately think of New Balance. But did you know that Bam Bam actually started his sneaker journey with adidas, creating a RealTree Camo colourway. If you didn’t know this, there’s a reason for that, this was a super-limited Friends & Family release, and the partnership stopped there.
New Balance 990v6
Young Baklava was first introduced to the brand by his mother back in the late ‘90s, and instantly gravitated towards the comfort of the soles, and the classic greys and reflective hits on the upper. Years later, Bronson not only appeared in ads for the launch of the 990v6, he also launched his debut colourway on the silhouette.
The 990v6 ‘Baklava’ took a very unique approach to colour-blocking, a vivid mix of neon green and orange mesh, silver reflective 3M overlays, purple rope laces, and muted olive suede. The ENCAP and FuelCell sole also stood out with deep blue tones. This was then quickly followed by the ‘Lapis Lazuli’ colourway, which featured a more wearable navy blue colour palette. Fast forward to 2025 and Bronson revisits the v6 with two more colourways inspired by ‘90s runners, the ‘Amazõnia’ and ‘Untitled’.
New Balance 1906R
Bronson’s knack for eccentric colourways can also be seen on his collection of 1906R colourways. The ‘Medusa Azúl’ took its name from the Portuguese man o’ war, and featured a similarly aquatic look. The ‘Rosewater’ colourway took its inspiration from classic women’s aerobic sneakers, made up of white, blue, and purple. Last but not least, the ultra-limited ‘Scorpius’ colourway featured vivid yellow mesh with neon green accents.
New Balance 992

In 2025, Bronson finally took on one of his favourite models, crafting two outdoor-inspired colourways for the 992. The first colourway was the ‘Tiger Eye’, which featured workwear brown suede overlays over a wild orange mesh base, with a blue tongue and blacked-out sole. The ‘Tiger Eye’ was paired with the ‘Digitalis Purpurea’, taking its name and eye-catching purples from the toxic plant.
New Balance 1890
We arrive at the here and now, with Bronson debuting an all-new NB model, the 1890. This is a powerhouse hybrid model, combining the upper of the 890v3 with the 2002’s original ABZORB sole unit. For the 1890 launch, Bronson has prepared two colourways: the futuristic blue ‘Cyborg Tears’, and the deadly white and yellow ‘Hornet Tusk’.
The New Balance x Action Bronson 1890s drop on 13 February. Don’t forget to add them to your wishlist, and check out the full range of Action Bronson x New Balance collaborations available on KLEKT
