Whilst SS20 may not have gone as planned for Supreme stores due to the coronavirus, that hasn’t stopped it from flourishing online. Collaborations with big names like Lamborghini and Nike, as well as a COVID-19 relief box logo have all helped SS20 to be one of Supreme’s strongest. Now, as the weeks continue to roll on, Supreme has announced even more exciting collaborations. The latest of those come in the form of Barbour.
Barbour is one of the UK’s most historic brands. Founded in 1894 by John Barbour, the brand has gone from supplying fisherman and dockers to being one of the most respected labels in the country. Now in its fifth generation, Barbour has been worn by the likes of Alex Turner, Jason Statham and Brad Pitt. Taking Barbour’s expert knowledge of durable waxed jackets, Supreme has put its unique twist on four classic pieces.
Inspired by the 1980s Barbour Beadle jacket, Supreme has created a Lightweight Waxed Cotton Field Jacket. Made exclusively for Supreme, the jacket features minimal branding and comes in three eye-catching colours; orange, black and cheetah print. A hidden hood bares the Supreme motif across the back, whilst a co-branded label on the inside is the only other hint of who this jacket is by.
Of course, that’s not all Supreme has in store. Using the same colours, Supreme and Barbour have also created a Waxed Cotton Waist Bag, Waxed Cotton Camp Cat and Waxed Cotton Crusher. The capsule collection features minimal branding, though those in the know will soon realise who this collab is by.
