It is difficult to imagine what the world of streetwear would look like without Ronnie Fieg in it. As one of the most inspiring creatives on the planet, Fieg has worked with some of the largest brands on the planet. However, the New York native has always looked back to his childhood for collaborative inspiration. Whether it’s Kith x Tommy Hilfiger or Kith x Nike, Fieg has stayed true to his younger self. Now, we have our first glimpse of an upcoming Kith x Looney Tunes collaboration.
Revealed by Fieg earlier this week, the Kith head honcho began issuing a series of teaser images on his Instagram. Over the past few days, Fieg has now begun explaining more about the collaboration and the thought process behind it all.
“From the start of my convos with Looney Tunes, I wanted to bridge the gap between my childhood and now. I’m still listening to the younger me in my head, and creating things that I never thought would be possible when I was a kid. That is and will always be my motivation for doing these things. When designing the collection I thought about who would model the lookbook, and could only see it being one person… or icon for that matter.
With Bugs Bunny turning 80 this year, the collaboration is a big achievement for both Warner Brothers and Fieg. The good news is that we don’t have to wait long to see what is in store for this collaboration. Fieg explained that: “After months of work, the Kith x Looney Tunes Lookbook drops tomorrow, featuring a very rare appearance from the birthday boy himself.”
