Following last year’s Off White collab by the late visionary Virgil Abloh, the Air Jordan 2 is back once again in the “Future is Now” capsule brought to us by Union LA and Jordan Brand. Union LA’s Chris Gibbs briefly explains the concept of the collection as “what some futuristic gear might look like after it has been worn and patina’d.”
The collection features two pairs of the Jordan Brand’s sophomore silhouette in both Grey Fog and Rattan colourways. Each colourway respectively consists of muted greys and beiges, following Gibbs’ vision of lived-in, low-fi, future fashion, with bold accents of blue and yellow along the lacing system and beneath the perforated suede side panels. The Jumpman logo and Union branding tags are also yellowed along with the laces, completing the vintage look.
