When rumours of the Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade” re-releasing first began circulating various sneaker forums this year, OG Air Max fans were quick to take note. Originally launched as part of the Powerwall collection in 2005, the “Lemonade” has remained a fan favourite amongst collectors. Thankfully, Nike is giving newer sneakerheads a chance to get their hands on a pair. After what feels like an eternity, the AM1 is finally dropping this month.
As one of the standout pairs from the “Extraordinary Greens” pack 15 years ago, the “Lemonade” AM1 has definitely gained grail status. The 2020 iteration hasn’t strayed too far from the original design (phew) and uses the same construction. Yellow mesh, leather and satin work together to give this shoe its “Lemonade” moniker, with 3M TPU overlays bearing “Air” written across them. On the heel, a single green “Air” adds a subtle touch and is matched by a set of green lace. A lemon covered tongue tag and insole are a knowing nod to the OG model and are paired excellently with a white midsole and black sole.
The good news is that you don’t have to wait long in order to cop the upcoming Nike Air Max 1 “Lemonade”. According to various sneaker sources, the pair will drop on November 26th for €140. Take a closer look at the official images below and let us know if you’ll grab this Air Max 1.
