Some sneakers are simply more popular in some parts of the world. For example, one can find more adidas Gazelle’s in Manchester than you can in Berlin. However, some countries simply take to a silhouette more as a whole. One classic example of this comes from Japan, whose love of the New Balance 1300 is unlike anywhere else on the planet. With that in mind, New Balance is creating a 1300JP which will be made in Japan.
Unlike the recent version of the sneaker, which returns once every five years, the New Balance 1300JP will be made by hand in Japan, not the USA. As you can imagine, Japanese New Balance fans are already beaming with excitement. Much like the traditional iteration, the 1300JP will feature premium nubuck throughout, replacing the usual mesh overlay. The familiar steel blue and khaki finish are still applied, making this updated 1300JP one to remember.
If you’re looking to cop these, you’ll have to have some Japanese connections. The sneaker will only launch in Japan, making for one of the most exclusive NB1300s of the new year. It is also going to be pretty expensive. With a rumoured retail release of €700, this is one New Balance only a select group are going to buy. Check out the official images of the sneaker below and let us know if you’ll cop these sneakers.
