Hello KLEKT, thanks for having me. My name is Dom (@izdomm on IG), I’m 27 years old and an Austrian sneaker/streetwear collector and hockey player.
How did your passion for sneakers start?
My passion for Sneakers started when I was around 12-13 years old. In the beginning, I got influenced heavily through hip-hop and rap music, because all the artists were wearing the nicest and newest sneakers on the market all the time. Therefore I got the desire to own and rock these kicks too, which started to build the foundation of my sneaker collection too.
What was the first sneaker that caught your eye and why?
There are two sneakers that first started to catch my eye. On the one hand, there’s the Air Jordan 4 Retro Black Cement (2012). It was the first time a local sneaker store got a few pairs of Jordans and I managed to get the last remaining pair half a size too small. I still rocked them to death though. On the other hand, I’ve always loved the Nike Air Yeezy 2 Solar. This pair is unique in its design and its limited run always intrigued me. Thankfully I was able to fulfil my dream of owning this pair a couple years ago.
