The world of skateboarding would be nothing were it not for Vans. As the preferred choice of footwear for early skaters in the 1970s and 1980s, Vans and skateboarding have a deeply intertwined relationship. Since 1996, Supreme and Vans have also shared a similar bond. Vans was the first company to give Supreme a skate shoe collaboration, kickstarting a long and illustrious relationship. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like there are any signs of slowing down the footwear collabs any time soon.
Supreme has unveiled an upcoming Vans collaboration which is set to release this Thursday. Taking two of Vans most iconic silhouettes, the Sk8 Hi and Slip-On, Supreme has decked both sneakers out in a hole punched denim. If you think that this upper looks familiar, then you are in fact correct. This same denim pattern was used earlier in the season on a number of Supreme items, including a jacket and bucket hat.
In keeping with the same style, Supreme has included the hole punch effect throughout the shoe. These two sneakers will also drop in an all-black and a light blue and navy, much the same as the aforementioned denim pieces. The Supreme x Vans Sk8 Hi features the word “Supreme” across the heel as well as a co-branded tongue tag. Opting for a subtler approach, the Supreme x Vans Slip-On features minimal branding, instead, using a bright red insole for good measure.
